In this podcast I sit down with artist Juicy J to discuss the how the music industry has evolved. As technology advance, the ability to consume content continues to progress as new streaming services arise. More and more control is being taken from the distributors and traditional middlemen of music, and being put into the hands of the artists themselves. 3:20 - The artists make the labels, not the other way around 8:20 - When you pop, do you have a second move? 14:45 - Traditional promotion has changed 21 - If you can entertain and inform, you’re a GOAT 27:30 - Relevance always matters Did you like this episode? Throughout my whole career I've always been prepared for the next thing. My 79/21 theory came from a conversation on how to prepare for the future and strategic ways to allocate your energy. In my opinion, there's more than enough hours in the day to taste everything. Really pay attention to the questions asked and my answers in this podcast episode. :30 - Intro to the 79/21 rule 2:45 - What if something pops tomorrow? 4:50 - Instagram vs LinkedIn Did you like this episode? Man I miss the Wine Library days! Those of you who saw me on livestream last night know that my Rosé ships out this week and that this is a really exciting time for me. I’m so appreciative for everyone that has supported my Empathy Wines venture, something I’ve been dreaming of doing for a long long time. Today’s podcast is a throwback to my Wine Library TV days. Why does everyone think trust is earned? To me, that process seems slow and egotistical. I believe that if you give your employees trust in the upfront, you’ll be blown away by the results. In this podcast I focus on how CEOs can empower their team’s to facilitate scale, as well as the benefits of having a meaningful relationship with each of your employees. :30 - why I trust my employees 3:40 - how a new hire can win 5:25 - you’re employees shouldn’t care as much as you do What was your biggest takeaway from these 7 minutes? People overthink their businesses - who they hire, how they market and what they spend their money on. If you're a start-up, I firmly believe you can make real noise with a small, scrappy team of three or four people. You just have to know what you need. Regardless of your industry, documenting the journey is the best way to show potential customers who you are and what you do. The following 8 minutes is a few different conversations with start-ups I'm working with. What was your biggest takeaway from this? Any feedback is helpful, tweet @GaryVee to let me know your thoughts. 1:10 - why I believe in three/four person teams 3:15 - how to market a law firm 6:10 - thoughts on LinkedIn

A lot of companies are going to go out of business over the next decade for one main reason: Humans don’t like change. If you’re plan to be in business for the long term and you’re holding “what worked” in the past on a pedestal, I really hope this podcast changes the way you look at things. This is a keynote I gave in Vegas at the International Franchise Association on Facebook and Instagram marketing in 2019, the rise of voice and machine learning, and more. 3:20 - I've always been chasing the attention of the end consumer 7:58 - I didn't come from a corporate environment 14:40 - I lose when I lose because then it's my fault 23:20 - You're taking real money and throwing it in the garbage 28:40 - Voice is going to put you out 39:46 - What I learn from growing up in a family business environment What was your biggest takeaway from this? Entrepreneurship today really needs to be more grounded in practicality. Really implore you all to either start saving cash or invest your cash back into your business — the economy isn’t going to be good forever, and when things get slow, people aren’t going to talk about things like “passive income” the same way they do today. 0:00 - I worked 18 hours a day for 15 years 5:03 - Passive income needs practicality 15:55 - Changing your perspective on life 22:05 - How to prepare for the coming economic collapse 32:33 - How to escape the rat race Excited for you guys to listen to this podcast - tweet me what you thought @GaryVee!

I’m so desperate to to get you all to the point where you’re executing on your ambitions. It’s why I put out so much content, spitting the same truth in different ways until something “breaks through.” In this podcast, I talk about how to start and some mindset shifts to get past some of those common fears in the beginning. 1:45 - the fear of losing trumps the excitement of victory for so many people 5:20 - what's the ROI of your mother 6:30 - how to get other people to see what you're doing 10:28 - 1 out of 147 is better than 0 Listen and tweet me what you thought @GaryVee! |

If you’re 25, you could literally die and live an entirely new life up to this point, and you’d still barely be at “halftime.” That’s why I tell so many 18, 22, 25, and 30 year olds to just put their head down and grind for a decade - if they have the ambition to build something for the rest of their lives. In this podcast with Pencils of Promise founder Adam Braun, I talk more about what to do if you don’t want to go to college, what to do after high school, and more. 1:49 - advice on what to do after high school if you don't want to go to college 4:25 - understanding comes with doing 8:15 - when you're 18 you just have to put your head down for 15 years Check it out and tweet me what you think @GaryVee with #GVReplay

There’s so much opportunity available today but what most people don’t realize is, this all goes away. Eventually, Facebook and Instagram advertising will become like the Yellow Pages or billboards — that’s why I’m trying to get so many of you to “squeeze” while this opportunity is still available to you. It doesn’t actually matter to me whether you want to work 18 hours a day for the rest of your life, live on the beach, or watch Netflix all day. It’s very rare that someone comes to me with an idea or a project and I really think it’s going to work. Sometimes, I’ll respond to a 27 or 28-year-old kid and tell them it’s going to “work” if they stick with it for 7 or 8 years, and they’re disappointed — because they think “34” is old. I address it in this podcast - really hope this breaks through to a few of you. Tweet me what you thought @GaryVee |

A lot of entrepreneurs and marketers miss the point when it comes to influencer marketing … It’s not about who has the most followers or who’s “verified.” It’s about who has the attention of the people you’re trying to reach. The truth is, many micro-influencers with 1,000 - 4000 followers will produce better business results for a company than a verified account with 300,000 followers because they have more “depth.” I talk more about this and other strategies small businesses can use to grow sales in 2019 : 1. Charge more for your time 2. Understand the impact of Micro Influencers 3. This podcast mashup is about something that I am most passionate about and I also think a lot about. It's a constant challenge to create a wonderful work environment without creating entitlement and keep people fired up to work for you. If you or someone around you is struggling with transitioning from being a practitioner to becoming a leader, please listen to this or share this with that person. Would love to know your thoughts on this, so tweet @garyvee and let me know your POV. |

A lot of people are in jobs they don’t like because they tie themselves down with expenses that don’t actually make them happy. It’s an issue for so many … the truth is, a lot of people would rather “look the part” and posture to their friends like they’re building a business instead of doing “unsexy” things that’ll make them money and bring them closer to leaving jobs they don’t like. 0:25 - If you work somewhere but want your own business 1:09 - Don’t buy dumb shit 2:22 - Practicality = happiness 4:40 - Why are you living your life based on other people’s opinions? 7:52 - This is the greatest time to be a human being 9:59 - Having empathy > hawking your brand 14:00 - Social media’s golden era will go away People will realize how important this message is in a few years … watch and tweet me what you thought @GaryVee with the hashtag #GVAudioExperience |

Loved this conversation with Joshua Coombes around how I think about Giving in a 2019 world, especially in the non-profit world. The music industry isn’t what it used to be. Years ago, you had to impress a handful of executives and pray that they liked your music — and if they didn’t, your career would never launch. Now, you’ve got all these artists getting popular off of Soundcloud, Spotify, YouTube, and creating content on social media. In this podcast, I talk with Dreezy — a rapper I really believe in — about the future of hip hop, and why I’m hanging out with rap artists as a CEO. Lots of little clips from different meetings and events in today’s podcast … You’ll hear what went down at our little influencer meet up at Made in New York Pizza (where I’m an investor).
I also met with a young kid who needed to “get his mind rewired” — I talked to him about overcoming the same pressures that so many young people face with “figuring out” their lives.
The podcast starts off with my meeting with “Freeway” Rick Ross — a former drug dealer who’s now helping at-risk youth and women’s empowerment initiatives.
All fascinating conversations — especially the part where I talk to Rick Ross about entrepreneurship.

The reason I win so much is that I play the game in “reverse” of everyone else. Everyone else is doing the same thing — posting the same type of pictures on Instagram, getting the same degrees from the same colleges, or running the same type of Ads — and wondering why they’re not disproportionately winning. I expand on this concept more in this Q&A I did with fans at the GaryVee x VaynerSports meet and greet in Atlanta. really fired up about this meeting I had with the legend, Quinn XCII - we sit down and chat about his come up, his music process and why I fuck with his music - he speaks his truths through it. There’s a reason why real estate gets hit the hardest during a recession: Everyone is focused on short term sales over brand. That’s why I genuinely believe I’d dominate if I decided to start a brokerage. I would take lower commissions, build brand, and win in the long term. One of the biggest problems in our society is how we handle judgement and the opinions of others. But you must realize that you have ONE LIFE and it is better to live it for yourself than for someone else.

![]() Really really enjoyed sitting down with Alison Lebovitz to flush out what people don't show about being entrepreneurs - it's lonely, and it really does take on a role as a second child. Anyone that considers themselves an entrepreneur really needs to give this one a listen. |

This super strategic conversation that I had with popular YouTubers, the McClure family started off talking about producing content at volume & scale, quickly moving into creative control between my team & I, and go on to explain the value I place in the TeamGaryVee account, as well as the rest of my team's personal brands because by putting them on, it also helps me. Lots of valuable content in here for any content creator out there <3

So much of what people think I say about "hustle" is taken out of context or perspective. It's not about how much sleep you're not getting or how much "time" you're putting in. It's the quality of the work, whether you're really putting enough quality time into what you're building and not just trying to "flaunt" |

This call I had with a young man while I was live streaming the other day is one you all need to hear - he calls in asking for advice around marketing, and ends up with some powerful advice ;) |

People always say they think it is funny that me being the “digital guy” writes books. It’s not because I like to read, it’s because other people like to read and want to read my content in book form. Direct mail may be an older method of marketing compared to the things the internet is capable of, but for many businesses, it can still work tremendously in their favor. |

The amount of people that spend their time dwelling on their actions from 3 years ago is completely unfounded - If you're pissed about the time you wasted on your phone this morning, move on. Its already happened and focus on what really matters, the future. |

This was really an all-time keynote, getting up in front of the crowd in Dubai to talk about the MASSIVE change in entrepreneurship, and how and why I believe putting entrepreneurship on a pedestal will change once the economy collapses. I also go in and talk about the opportunity in the middle east, elaborating on what I see in the region, then pivoting to talk about converting content for different regions - like I do with my content - to broaden the reach of a brand. |

Loved hanging with the guys over at Virgin Radio while I was in Dubai, talking about how recognizing fads and growth ahead of time was a massive opportunity - investing in Google ads, Facebook ads, a YouTube channel and more helped me grow my brand to where it is today, as well as Wine Library and Vaynermedia. We then get deep and start talking around the mentality that arises when you stop caring about other people's opinions, and roll into a cool live Q&A. |

I don't want to watch netflix, go skiing, go to a beer garden - none of that sounds FUN to me. But it might be fun to you. This quick mashup is 100% about doing the things that YOU enjoy and not letting other people dictate what you should be doing with your time... If you want to work, work. |

Loved loved loved sitting down with Jason Khalipa, sitting down to talk about how I have my schedule down to a science, how that integrates with my family, and how and why I view needing to make myself happy to make the other important stuff in my life happy. Then, we dive into how I scaled Vaynermedia, and why I absolutely love garage saleing. This is a super insightful interview that I share a lot that I don't typically talk about, so I'd love if you gave it a listen.

Guys, this was a big one, and a type of episode that I want to start pushing out a lot more. This is from a VIP strategy session in Phoenix where I sat down with a bunch of people to talk the economic collapse, extremes, the event business and a bunch more. This is one you need to hear! |

![]() These three different original pieces all include different themes of winning - I go in and talk about family businesses and what it was like growing Wine Library, Vaynermedia, Vaynersports all as what essentially started as a family business - then move into talking about a subject that stems from the topic of family - not letting anyone else judge what you're doing, moving into making sure you're living humbly and not being fancy. |

It blows me away that people don’t realize that complaining about someone is actually giving them mental leverage over you. As I reflect on it, the reason I don’t complain is probably more out of competitiveness than anything else — I just don’t want to give you the satisfaction that you have any say in how my life is going to play out. No one has say -- not my teachers, not the current state of political correctness, nothing. This isn’t coming from a negative place, or wanting to secretly hurt other people that have hurt me. It’s about coming from a place of confidence and control. |
